As important as the environment, was the communication Jeanne had with my husband and I. We enjoyed open, honest communication about how Brea was doing at daycare such as naps, eating, and interaction with other children. The bonus that Jeanne provides was educational activities. I know that sounds premature but it was true. Brea was signing what she wanted to communicate such as more milk, shoes, socks, change etc. It was wonderful to learn along and be able to interact before she was able to fully verbalize. The songs they sang, books they read, and games they played contributed greatly to her developmental abilities. Her next daycare she attended commented on how smart Brea was…we attribute a great deal to her experiences at Jeanne's. We were so sad when Brea approached 2y/o because we new we had to say goodbye and go onto the next adventure at another daycare. I forgot to mention the homemade meals…Jeanne is a great cook, many times I would come to pick her up and she was preparing full meals for her family along with the daycare children and wow, it smelled so good and was always nutritious. Jeanne provided a wonderful base for our child to learn and grow. I would highly recommend Jeanne to any mom!!"
We decided early on in the process to look for a provider with a limited number of children; who was committed to the children's safety, development, and socialization. I knew I would have difficulty returning to work if I felt that my son would be just one of 10 children needing a bottle and diaper change. We also limited our search to find a location convenient to both my husband and my work location and to our son's doctor's office. In the last 18 months, we have come to appreciate her (Jeanne's ) professionalism in dealing with the business end of child care, her knowledge and experience with child development (and teething, and rashes, and feeding tips, and...), and her sensitivity in dealing with us as new parents.
